Friends at Family Day Care is a new Family Day Care Scheme in the Sutherland Shire and is registered with the Department of Community Services. It is approved to administer Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate.
Family day care provides families with the unique opportunity to have their children participate in an early childhood education and care program, in small groups, in a home-based setting.
Children are nurtured and cared for in the homes of approved family day care educators who are resourced, supported and monitored from a central coordination unit (i.e. Friends at Family Day Care Scheme)
Child Care – without the centre
Caring for children in such a small group especially for under 3’s allows for more one to one experiences. Children aren’t overwhelmed by large groups of children which can occur in centre based care. Educators get to know the children’s interests and needs on a more personal level.
Family Day Care is fast becoming the preferred choice of child care for young children.
