Kare 4 Kidz has been established to look after the most important person in your life.....your child.
Your child will be introduced to an environment that is safe and friendly, where they will take their first steps towards learning abut the world which one day will be at their feet.
We offer quality care for children between the ages of 0-6 years between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm.

In laying the foundations for a child's future development, the first five years of a child's life are the most crucial.
At Kare 4 Kidz, we believe :
- Each person is a unique individual. We value diversity and will accept and celebrate the differences in each other. We will acknowledge and accept each person's background, culture and beliefs, and foster an understanding and appreciation of the centre's diversity throughout the learning environment.
- That the family is the child's primary teacher and the Kare 4 Kidz staff will share this responsibility in a mutually respectful relationship. We will provide support to families and work together to provide nurturing and care for their children. We have an "open door" policy at Kare 4 Kidz and welcome and encourage family interest and participation in all aspects of the centre.
- The whole child includes, the thinking child, the healthy, physically active child, the social child, the feeling child, the creative child and the spiritual and moral child. These aspects of each child are reflected throughout their portfolios so as to document their development in each area.
- Each child is capable and resourceful with many skills and abilities. As each child is a powerful contributor in their learning their input into the program is valued, respected and encouraged.
- Children learn through play and interaction with their environment and other people. Play should be fun, spontaneous, stimulating, challenging and exciting. We will provide opportunities for children to explore, cooperate, experiment, create, ask questions, interact, investigate, discover and express themselves with the support of their peers, their families and staff.
- By providing an accepting environment that promotes the whole child, we wish to encourage the child's self esteem, positive self image, a sense of belonging, trust, respect and confidence.
- The provision of a safe, hygienic and secure environment is essential to the health and well being of the child, families and staff.
- Ongoing professional development ensures that the staff have a sound understanding of child development and current early childhood practices.
The educational program at our centre recognises the unique individuality of children and carers for their overall development.
Children spend equal amounts of time among all staff members in the centre however, they are also placed into care giving groups.
Staff are responsible for observing and planning for each child's individual strengths, needs and interests. Staff compile developmental records on all areas of the children's development which includes physical, social/emotional, cognitive and language, and develop programs for each child.
The daily routine of the centre caters for individual activities as well as group experiences in both indoor and outdoor environments.
The weekly educational pre-school program is carefully planned implemented and evaluated on a regular basis. The programs are displayed in both room and parent input is valued.
A school readiness program is undertaken for children attending the school following year. The program has been developed to assist children with pre-literacy, pre-numeracy and pre-reading skills.
Staff are available to discuss any aspect of your child's development should you wish to do so. Parents may also view developmental records/portfolios throughout the year.
Parents are also encouraged to be involved at Kare 4 Kidz. This may include demonstrating skills or talents that they posses that could benefit the children's' learning. For Example: Art/Craft ideas, cooking, computer and music.
Kare 4 Kidz provides:
Morning tea consisting of fresh fruit a nutritional snack, full cream dairy milk and water.
Lunch is a hot nutritional meal ( See Menu ) And water.
Afternoon tea consists of fresh fruit and a healthy snack, full cream milk and water.
Late afternoon tea ( for children after 5 pm ) consists of a healthy snack.
Water is also available at all times throughout the day.
The meals are provided fresh daily by Kids Gourmet Foods, who hold a gold license in the catering of balance nutritional meals and safe food handling practices.
Allergy meals are also available, please discuss requirements with staff.
No child is ever forced to eat a meal, however, we do encourage children to taste new foods.
KARE 4 KIDZ HAS A NUT FREE POLICY.
Breakfast:
We encourage parents to serve breakfast at home, however, if your child requires breakfast, please provide a health cereal, No muesli bars please.
Breakfast will be served from 7:00 - 7:45 am.
Bottles:
Should you baby or child be bottle fed it is your responsibility to provide the centre with formula (pre-measured) In an air tight portioned container. Bottle must be pre-filled with the required amount of boiler water, staff will add formula and use a bottle warmer to heat. Bottles will be rinsed and placed in each child's basket in the nursery cupboard.
Kare 4 Kidz is a sun smart centre.
We use cancer council approved sun screen on all children.
Sun screen must be applied by parents on arrival at the centre and staff will re applybefore afternoon play.
Outdoor play is before 10 am and after 3 pm in the summer and before 11 am and after 2 pm in the winter.
Babies will be kept under cover for all outdoor play.
A hat MUST be worn for all outdoor play!!
