Kids' Cottage is a purpose-built Long bay Care Centre, which offers learning experiences in a play based environment. It was designed to be functional whilst maintaining a homelike atmosphere.

Our experienced, qualified and caring staffs endeavor to provide an educational program, offering a wide variety of experiences, to develop all the areas of your child's learning.

We are licensed to care for 39 children each day, ranging from 6 weeks to school entry age.

We have two rooms:

• The Joey Room - age between 6 weeks and 2 years.
• The Koala Room - aged between 2 years and 3 1/2 years
•  The Possum Room - aged between 3 1/2 years up to school entry age

Centre hours of operation

This Centre is open for a maximum of 52 weeks per year, and our licensed hours are from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. We close on Public Holidays, but remain open for all other school holidays. We are not permitted to have children on our premises before 7.30 am or after 6.00 pm.

What we provide 

• We provide a nutritionally balanced menu including a hot lunch, morning and afternoon tea.
  
• Each child has their own locker to store their bag and belongings and a communication pocket is provided for each parent.
  
• Warm and caring staff in a relaxed and interest based environment. Programs and planning documents, flexible timetable and evacuation plans are placed on the cork board in each room.
  
• An orientation process including an interview with the birector where the parent handbook will be fully discussed and opportunity to visit as many times as desired to facilitate a comfortable transition for you and your child into the centre.
