The Speech Language & Literacy Clinic understands the challenges that families face when addressing their child’s speech, language and literacy difficulties.

We offer a tailored and comprehensive approach, through the latest speech pathology research, with a careful focus on the needs and gifts that make each individual child unique.

We offer professional and personalised speech pathology services and are committed to working collaboratively with families, health professionals and schools in order to maximise our clients’ potential and to increase their overall quality of life.

We service clients with a variety of diagnosis, ranging from auditory processing disorder, language disorder, dyspraxia, and mild and moderate impairment to ADD/ADHD, developmental delay, and Learning Difficulties including Dyslexia.

The Speech Language & Literacy Clinic offers specialised and professional services in:
•    Speech, Language and Literacy Assessments and Therapy
•    Intensive Literacy Programs (also run over school vacation periods)
•    School Readiness Programs
•    Educational Assessments

Our tailored programs may address:
•    Auditory processing and attention
•    Language development (understanding and expression)
•    Speech development (articulation, motor planning/dyspraxia)
•    Communication difficulties associated with cognitive impairment
•    Phonological Awareness (ie. ability to identify, segment, blend, manipulate and understand sounds)
•    Literacy (reading, spelling, writing) and Study/Examination Skills

We also offer HICAPS to our clients (for on the spot claims), and are registered providers with Private Health Funds and Medicare for the Enhanced Primary Care Plan and Autism Initiatives.

Our clinic is located in a quiet leafy green residential street in Como with ample parking. We attract clients from not only the immediate Sutherland Shire but also from the St George area of Sydney. We are also only a short 4 minute train trip from Oatley and a further 3 minute walk from Como Station.

If you have any concerns about your child's speech, language or literacy development, please contact our clinic to discuss or arrange an appointment. You do not require a doctor's referral unless you are claiming through Medicare.
